Absolute Beginners

Would you like to learn how to sew? If so, this is the class for you. The class begins at the most basic level; learning how to thread up a machine, the ins and outs of the machine and fabric.

Culminating in creating two projects to take home; a tote bag or a half apron and a cushion cover. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Beginners Dressmaking - PJ Bottoms or Skirt

This class is the ideal follow on from our Absolute Beginners class. During this class you will create from a choice of either a pair of pyjama bottoms/shorts or a gathered skirt.

This dressmaking class is an ideal first sewing project for newbies or a great refresher for those long time sewists

Beginners Dressmaking - PJ Top or Blouse

During this class you will create a blouse using the Seamwork Natalie blouse or a button up PJ top.

If you would like to use another similar pattern, please let me know. This class is all about improving your skill set and learning new techniques.

Clothing Alterations

Do you have items in your wardrobe that remain unworn due to minor adjustments needed or perhaps they need some repairs?

This clothing alteration class will equip you with the essential skills to alter or repair your garments. It is an excellent way to save money and extend the longevity of your clothing. You will learn techniques such as adjusting hems to modify the length of a garment, and altering seams to achieve a better fit if that is the adjustments you need.

Get to Know YOUR Overlocker

Is your overlocker gathering dust? Bring it along and learn to use it! Or try one in the Sewing Room before you buy.

In this class, you'll learn how to thread and sew with your overlocker.

Beginners Dressmaking - Zips

Whether you are an experienced dressmaker seeking to enhance your skills or a novice sewist striving to master crucial techniques, this short workshop will provide you with the expertise and confidence required to apply flawless finishing touches to your projects.

Dressmaking Improver - Make a Slip Dress

The classic slip dress is a timeless design that will always be in fashion. During this class we will make a bias-cut cowl neck slip dress.

Sewing with Stretch - T-shirt or Tank Top

This class is all about sewing with those tricky stretch fabrics. You can choose to make either a T-shirt or a tank top. You can also decide if you want to turn either into a dress.

Sew to Grow - Assisted Sewing

This class is for anyone that wants to step up their skills but needs a little help and advise. We can start from scratch with your own pattern and fabric and we will go through each step together, learning as you go.
